Finnish Functional Genomic Center (FFGC) and Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) – Enea joined Gen.ERA project to create a stronger network and allow European SMEs participating in the project to be ready for internationalisation. The European genomics alliance is expanding, and that more partners will be joining soon.

Finnish Functional Genomics Centre (FFGC) is a national expert organization and a core facility for genomics services. It is a testing laboratory No. T351 accredited by FINAS Finnish Accreditation Service for production of sequence raw data for various further analyses from genomic DNA with next-generation sequencing (ISO 17025). 

FFGC operates at the Turku Bioscience Centre, which is a joint department of University of Turku and Åbo Akademi University and belongs to the national Biocenter Finland infrastructure network, and supports high level research by providing open access to the state-of-the art technologies and services with the latest methods available for genome analysis. The services users include academic and government’s research units, health care units and organizations from private sector. FFGC provides expertise support and continuously develops and improves the genomics services in close collaboration with the key stakeholders.

The Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) helps businesses innovate and grow on an international scale. It is the world’s largest support network for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with international ambitions. It is co-financed under the European Union's programme for the competitiveness of SMEs (COSME).

The Network is active in more than 60 countries worldwide. It brings together 4,000 experts from more than 600 member organizations - all renowned for their excellence in business support.
